Hi to all,
Well, just a quick update of what I have been doing for th past 5 days that I have been in Milan. The first day consisted of meeting my local contact person here, Alicia - who has been an enormous help in terms of setting up meetings with other interns, language students and an Milanese speciality of an Aperitivo night on Wednesday - where I was able to meet a handful of interesting people from various backgrounds, with a diversity of aims and interests in life.
I quickly found out, that the people here are genreally very open, friendly, considerate, helpful and hospitable. The food is greatand luckily enough the weather has been on my side throughout the stay. Milan is great in the sense that there is a strong blend of their medival history and their current strive to be the worlds most metropolitan city, and one of the top fashion spots anyone who is nuts for designer clothes, cars, motorcycle or football teams would have in travel itinerary.
Yestrday I paid visit to L.A. Distribione - which is a company that pitches the latest fashion wear by designer clothing to stores around the world. The stores local representative then pays a visit to the L.A.D. and decides which lines he or she would like represnted in their respective stores around the world. Today I paid visit to the language school and saw the the character of Italians has rubbed off on all students at the school. Tomorrow I pay another visit to a fashionothing distributing company and enjoy the beginning of Carnival. Tune in to my next post. And to all around the world, a fruitful weekend.
