HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY!!!!

Well, this was my second day in the gorgeous city of Dublin, and probably the most eventful of my whole three week stay there. For those of you that don't know, this celebration marks the of Saint Patricks arrival in Ireland, and the widespread of Christianity in the country.

I woke up at around 10:00 a.m. and tried to be at the city centre by 11:00 a.m., to secure myself a good spot for the succeding parade. The parade consisted of many bands, cheerleaders, gigantic art installations, etc. The city was painted in green and it seems that everyone was out on the streets -irrelevant of age. The best part of the day was that everyone seemed to be drunk - and this as early as 12:00 noon. Greetings from Ireland, I hope you had as good a St. Paddy's Day as I did.
